Aline McDonald, age 93 of Waco, TX died Thursday, February 20, 2025. Aline Faye Mansfield McDonald was born on August 8, 1931, in Duncan Woods, TX to the late Truett Glenn Mansfield and Georgia Ann Scales Mansfield Bradshaw.
She attended schools in Port Neches, TX and graduated from Port Neches High School in 1948. She married Glenn W. McDonald in Pear Ridge, TX on September 18, 1948. She lived in the Beaumont, TX area and Fort Worth, TX before moving to Waco. She was a member of Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church (now known as Greater Waco Baptist Church). She was involved in all of her children’s activities when they were young including teaching Sunday School, being PTA president and cheerleader coach. As a senior citizen, she volunteered at nursing homes, church, and enjoyed her friends at Tri-Cities/Bellmead Senior Center. She loved her family, friends and church dearly.
Aline was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her parents, siblings Joyce Ann, Ferrell Glenn, Marga Ruth and Morris Gene, son Tommy, granddaughter Misty, and son-in-law Jim Gammel. Survivors include daughters, Donna McDonald Wade Gammel of Waco, TX, Diana Golden and husband Critt of Waxahachie, TX; five grandchildren, Sandy Wachsmann and spouse Mike Samford, Dusty Wade and spouse Kristy Morgan, Windy McDonald, Taylor Golden and Tyler Golden; three great grandchildren, Travis Wachsmann and wife Candace, Skyler Wachsmann and Reece Bradley Wade; three great-great grandchildren Trent Wachsmann, Blair Wachsmann and Bella Wachsmann; many beloved nieces and nephews and special loved ones Norman Wade, Susie McDonald and Tammy Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you pay it forward… take your family or friends to lunch, visit a nursing home, send a thinking of you card or donate to a charitable cause.
