Sue was born in Corsicana, Texas on February 11, 1941, to Agnes Rodgers Threet and Walker Houston Threet. She grew up with eight siblings, six sisters and two brothers. Of the nine kids, she was number 7 in a long line of Threet's. Growing up in Rice Texas, Sue went to Rice and Ennis schools. She worked at an early age picking and chopping cotton, and at Adam Hat Factory. She attended and baptized at Rice Baptist Church.
Sue had three sons Adam Neil, Kelly James, and Gary Wayne. She loved her family very much and never met a stranger that she didn't help. She started waitressing at Jess Raddles Steak house in Waco, where she created a following of customers. Those customers followed her to her business called the ''Little Green Apple.'' Sue went on to run several successful bars in the Waco Area.
After 40 plus year in the Bar Business, she retired from Heaton's Place. Sue enjoyed Traveling, Going on Cruise's, Gambling and Dancing to ''Big John & the Brown Boys.'' If you knew Sue, you knew she loved great food and having fun. She helped and employed more people in Waco than anyone can count. She never let anybody go hungry and held multiple benefits for people in need. She would not recognize the bad in the bad in anybody and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Sue is loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her.
Sue is proceeded in death by her husband Tom Heaton, her parents Agnes and Walker Threet, Four sisters: Linda Neil Holly, Patsy Ann Knott, Beweeta Gazaway, Kitty Ruth Spurgeon. Two Brothers Billy Earl Threet and Caleb Threet.
Sue is survived by her three sons: Adam, Kelly and Gary and his wife Letha. Sisters: Nancy Northern and Marquita Minick. Grandchildren: Valerie and husband Larry Frosche, Adam Chaz and wife Sara, Kerstin (KK) VanderLann, Harley Hargraves, Josephine Hargraves, Brandon and Jolene Heaton, Austin and Brandi Michelle and Caleb Nelson. Great Grandchildren: Sadie, Brooke, Adam Leon. And Great, Great Grandchildren: Brogan, Luka, and Opal, numerous nieces and nephews, dear friend Wanda Johnson and a multitude friends that felt like they were kin.
