Lanie was born on June 9, 1948 to Herman and Irene Patzke in Rogers, Texas. She lived in the Waco area her entire life, attending La Vega schools and earning her nursing degree from West Community Hospital.
An avid baker and crafter, Lanie's hands were always busy creating something beautiful. Lanie enjoyed visiting the casino, the thrill of thrifting for treasures at The Barn, and the simple joy of watching her grandkids and great-grandkids play. She attended innumerable school plays, concerts, and sporting events and delighted in any reason for a get-together. Her gentle, welcoming presence made everyone feel special.
Lanie leaves behind four children, Tamie Harris, Ed Harris and wife Andrea, Clint Willbanks, and Amy Moes, special nephew, Byron Patzke and wife Dayna, and step-son, Shawn Bartley and wife Libby. She was known as ''Oma'' to her grandchildren, Kelly Juntunen and husband Kyle, Tori Ha and husband Freedom, Nicholas Harris and wife Jackie, Alex Harris, Jake Hood, Chance Gagnon and wife Jessica, Kasey Gagnon, Dylan Gagnon, Kassie Willbanks, Brazos Willbanks, Ally Moes, Kate Moes, Grace Bartley, Maren Bartley and great-grandchildren, Logan Juntunen, Luke Juntunen, Hendrix Ha, and LilaJane Dolachek. She also had many special friendships that brought her great joy including Ruby, Brenda, Shirley and former daughter-in-law Amy Willbanks. She is preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Patzke.
Lanie ''Oma'' Patzke will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and gentleness will forever remain in our hearts.
