Andrew "Jack Wade, 84, of Waco passed away Wednesday, April 27 at a Waco hospital. Services will be 11 am Saturday, April 30 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Prairie Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday, April 29 at the funeral home. Jack was born July 22, 1926 in Crichton, Alabama to Estus and Gertrude (Quimby) Wade. He served in the Navy during WWII on the USS Kenmore from July 22, 1943 to February 14, 1946. He worked at General Tire & Rubber Co. for over 20 years, then owned and operated Loop 340 Automotive for over 30 years. Jack was a member of Masonic Lodge #92 in Waco and married Opal Rains on July 31, 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers. Survivors include his wife Opal Wade of Waco; daughters Cathy Vrba and husband Rick of China Spring, Darla Scott and husband Ray of Austin and Gayle Holley and husband James of Waco; sons Tony Wade and wife Debbie of Mississippi and Danny Raines and wife Brenda of Chalk Bluff; sister Jean Lee of Alabama; brothers Douglas Wade and wife Diane, Leroy Wade and Mike Wade all of Mississippi; grandchildren Zachary Vrba, Kristal Schoffler, Kari Rizor, Steve and Kevin Scott, Jessa Wade, Tony Wade Jr., Danny Raines Jr., Chad Raines and Steven Daniel ; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Rip.
