Bernice Case, went to be with the Lord March 12, 2011. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Fri., March. 18 at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday, March 17, at Bellmead Funeral Home. She was born Jean Bernice Lewis to Carrie Alice Coffin and Lee A. Lewis in Hillsboro, August 10, 1917. The family moved to Waco when she was in first grade. She married Dudley Hunt in 1934. Her only child, Lojean Hunt Beach, was born a year later. Bernice worked as a waitress for 54 years. Twenty five years were at the Chef Restaurant, later called Surf and Sirloin. She was predeceased by her parents, first husband, daughter, older brother--Emmett Lewis, younger sister--Margie Lewis Dickson, and second husband--Joseph Floyd Case. Bernice is survived by her son-in-law--Charlie Beach, two grandsons--Brad and Dudley Beach, two great-grandsons--Michael & David Beach, and many nieces and nephews, including Steve Girnus of Waco, Linda Dickson Canfield of Birmingham, and Wally Dickson of San Antonio.
