Billy Gene Lipsey, 66, of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
Graveside
services will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 2 at Rosemound cemetery with Pastor
Reggie Blake officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday, April 1 at
Bellmead Funeral Home.
Billy was
born September 14, 1949 in Waco, Texas to Billy Ray and Lillie Mae (Fuller)
Lipsey. He graduated from La Vega High School in 1967 and McLennan Community
College and attended Texas A&M University until being drafted into the Army.
He served during Vietnam and worked at Marathan Norco Aerospace for over 15
years. Billy enjoyed plants and wood working and loved chickens. He was a
member of Timbercrest Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew him.
Billy was a wonderful brother and world's best uncle to Samantha.
He was
preceded in death by his father; and grandparents.
Survivors
include his wife, Karen Lipsey; his mother, Lil Lipsey; his daughters, Christie
Hughes, Jennifer Lipsey and Syndi Espinosa; sisters, Larraine Turner and
husband, Curtis and Betty Brannon and husband, Harold; brother, Jimmy Lipsey
and wife, Tessie; grandchildren, Jillian, Christopher and Aayliah; and several
nieces and nephews.
