Brandon Scott Gatlin, age 28, passed away June 29, 2016 in Waco. A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Gatlin officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 1st at the funeral home.
Brandon was born May 24, 1988 in Waco, Texas. He attended Waco High School and McLennan County College and worked in the construction industry. Brandon loved to play golf, ride his motorcycle and never missed watching a Baylor game. He had a big, big heart and would help anybody in need.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Nelda Faye Gatlin and Edward and Billie Sherrill; his father in law, Darrell Neumann.
Survivors include his wife, Breanna Neumann Gatlin and their soon to be born son, Brandon Scott Gatlin, Jr.; mother, Terri Sherrill Gatlin; father, Tony Dean Gatlin, Sr.; sister, Crystal Dawn Walker; brothers, Tony Dean Gatlin, Jr. and Dylan Ray Sherrill; mother in law, Cathy Neumann; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Tristan Sherrill, John Michael Vela, Chance Coffman, Chaise Coffman, Raymond Perry and Jason Sherrill. Honorary pallbearers will be Eloisa Martinez and Joseph Ivy, Jr.
The family wishes to express their special thanks to the Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest staff, the Karem Shriners, the H.O.G. Motorcyclists for their prayer vigil and all who have shown their love and support during this difficult time.
