Brennan Roy Trussell, 16, of Chalk Bluff, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011at his residence after a long battle with Lymphoma. God requested his presence in heaven as he needed a Sheppard to watch over his heard of deer. Services will be 2 pm Thursday, February 3 at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Adams and Rev. Aaron Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 9 pm Wednesday, February 2 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Brennan was born April 29, 1994 in Waco to Brian and Valetta Trussell. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church where he was Baptized at an early age and always took his faith seriously . He was a student at Connally High School, played football, basketball and baseball and played the trumpet in the Connally Band. His biggest aspiration of High School was being there with his oldest brother Braden. Brennan was his biggest baseball fan and could not wait until he hit a home run so he could run as fast as he could to get that special ball. Brennan was known to be an avid bow hunter, fisherman and daddy's little varmint caller. He loved to be in the bow stand before sunrise and wait patiently for that big buck to walk into feed. And you know what happened next!! Anyone that walked by him in camouflage became his friend, because he could not wait to exchange hunting stories with them. He touched the life of everyone he met in a special way and was loved by all!!"I fought the good fight, I finished the race, I have kept my faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 Brennan was preceded in death by his great grandfathers Herbert Trussell and Mac Douthit; great grandmother Lorine Trussell and grandfather Ervin Scharff. Survivors include his parents Brian and Valetta Trussell and brothers Braden and Brason Trussell all of Chalk Bluff; great grandmother Francis Douthit of Waco; grandparents Roy and Carolyn Trussell of Waco and Virginia Warner of Axtell; many aunts, uncles and cousins all of Texas and Missouri and one fighting in Afghanistan for our freedom. Pallbearers will be Bo Nelson, Matt Tindle, Ben Hodges, Brian Parker, Junior Fuentes, Adam Allen and Chris Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be his hunting and fishing buddies.
