It was a beautiful, sunny March day, with the sound of wind chimes filling the air. March was her favorite month: her birthday and anniversary month! She slept with her family surrounding her, holding her hands and whispering all of their love into her ears. A vase filled with sunflowers, her favorite flower, sat by her bedside with a radio playing old country music, that she loved so much. Later that night, in the early morning hours, she smiled and peacefully took her last breath in her house, in her bed, with her husband Bobby of almost 62 years, by her side.

Our family will never be the same without you. We will miss you forever and ever! You've left us with an empty space, but also with so many wonderful and unforgettable memories. Her favorite color was yellow, which truly matched her bright, lovely personality and spirit. Dolly will always be remembered as an incredibly sweet and beautiful soul. She loved music and dancing. Her greatest love and achievement was her family. She poured her heart and soul into the people she loved. Dolly loved the outdoors, mowing the grass, planting sunflowers, and fishin' at the pond with Bobby on sunny spring days.

She leaves behind her precious husband Bobby, who she married on March 16, 1963, in Marlin TX, and their little dog, Willie; her sister Georgie Charles and brother in law Larry Charles of Onalaska, TX; her daughter Yvette Stafford of Prairie Hill; her daughter Cindy Stafford and son in law David Heister of Elm Mott; grandson Dusty Miller of Waco; granddaughters Nicollette Ricci, Morgan & Ashlyn Snider, all of Waco; great grands Waylon Barber of Syracuse, Utah, Violet Snider & Winter Darland of Bellmead; lots of nieces and nephews. Preceded by her parents, John & Mary Benson, and 10 brothers & sisters. Pallbearers: David Heister, Austin Saladino, Dusty Miller, Nicollette Ricci, Ashlyn Snider, Morgan Snider.

Visitation will be at the Bellmead Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 6-8pm. Funeral will be at the Bellmead Funeral Home, Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 2pm. Burial following at Prairie Hill Cemetery.
