Charles L. Warren, Sr. 71, of Marlin, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his home with his family by his side.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 10 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Riesel. Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bellmead Funeral Home.

Charles was a man who loved his family. He had many hobbies during his life time. His younger years he loved calf roping and bull riding at rodeos. He also raced cars at the Heart of Texas Speedway. Charles also served his country in the Marines. The most important endeavor of his life was when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Charles was preceded in death by a son Charles L. Warren, Jr., his dad, Robert L. Warren, Sr., mother, Louis Thompson, step-mother, Ruth Warren, step-father Charlie Thompson, brother, Thomas L. Warren, step-sister, Elizabeth Killoran, and step brother, Wiley Henderson.

Charles leaves behind his wife, Connie Warren, daughter, Penny Wright and husband James (Dino), son Michael Nichols (Warren) and wife Kim; step-daughter Audrie Hovers, stepsons, Randall Ray and wife Judy, and Darrell Scott; grandchildren, Cody, Lauren, Joseph, Charles & step-grandchildren Kaci, Eli and Jacob. He also leaves behind brothers, Johnny Warren and wife Cathy, Andy Warren, Robert Warren, Jr. and wife Lisa, William Warren and wife Lynda; sister, Nora Tindell, Toni Stein and husband Danny, and Missy Benner and husband Terry; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
