Corinne Bennett

Corinne Davis Bennett, 90, of Lacy Lakeview passed away Wednesday, August, 7, 2024 at her residence surrounded by family.

A funeral will be 1:30 pm Saturday August 17, 2024 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Friday at Bellmead Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff, Texas.

Corinne was born March 23, 1934 to Essie Leola Scott Davis and J. G. Davis. Corinne married John W. Bennett September 2, 1951. Together they raised three sons, John Scott, Jerry and Jay. Corinne was a homemaker until her sons were all grown. She then started working in the school Cafeteria at Connally Elementary School where she retired in 2014 at the age of 80. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with children in AWANA, VBS and the after school program.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, Jerry; siblings, Geraldine, Dennis, Harold, Jerald and Jack; great granddaughter, Jessie Bennett.

Corinne is survived by her sister, Mary Anne Hill (Roland); sons and John Scott and Jay (Angie); grandchildren, John Bennett, Vanessa Bennett, Holli Gregory, Jared Bennett, Jeff Bennett, Jessica Bennett, Jayme Bennett (Eric Ramirez), Justin Bennett (Haley) and Jacob Bennett; 14 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Vinny Potter.
