Danny Lee Spurlin

Danny Lee Spurlin, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 6, 2024. 

Danny is preceded in death by his parents Weldon Glenn and Annie Scott Mears as well as his only sister Charlotte Garvin. He is survived by his wife Helen, his children James Glenn, Christopher Culpepper, Tammy Culpepper, Tonya Ramos, and Shelly Tanguma. He was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Danny was born in Waco and worked in the service industry for 55 years, and was a loving friend to many; always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed working outside and spending time with his neighbors. He never met a stranger and was ‘smart as a tack’. He was a jack of all trades and, in his families eyes, he could do anything. We will miss him every day and will always be grateful for all the lessons he taught us. 

We always knew if we needed, “Dad or Pawpaw “ ,he would be there and do what he could. He had many "DADISMS" we will remember. One comes to mind.  “Dad what time is it “Why you taking medicine? “

Until we meet again dad, enjoy your reunion in heaven.
