David Ira Whitlock, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, gained his wings on February 6, 2022.
He was born in Waco, Texas on May 28, 1949, to Granvil and Lois Whitlock.
David worked and retired from Willis Plumbing in 1986 and his hobbies included being an avid hunter, fisherman, and racecars. While raising his children, he enjoyed being a pee-wee football and softball coach to their teams.
David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William and Dean Whitlock, sister Glenda Davis, sister-in-law Tencie Whitlock, and grandson Samuel French Jr.
He is survived by brothers, Ricky Whitlock, Mike Whitlock and wife Pam, sisters, Faye Kerr and husband Ernie, and Suzie Eggemeyer. Davids surviving children are Katie Willborn, Deanne French and husband Sammy, David Whitlock Jr, Stephen Whitlock, Jennifer Anderson and husband Jason.
David was blessed with 15 grandchildren, Brett Willborn Jr, Blake Rosson and husband Rob Rosson, Kenzie Willborn, Kassye Finch and husband Tim, Lyndsey French and fiancé Patrick, Kolton Whitlock and fiancé Callie, Ashlynn Whitlock and fiancé Jesse, Trystan Whitlock, Amber Spinner and husband Mark, Nikki Helleck and fiancé Tre, Bubba, Bo Whitlock and wife Liz, Cameron Porter and wife Tara, Chelsea Porter and fiancé Josh, and Dylan Porter as well as 24 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to Glenn Willis who was there for David to help with anything he needed. We will be forever grateful for all the help you provided. They would also like to express their deepest gratitude to the Blair family for their presence, impact, and acceptance of David.
Memorial Service will be held at Bellmead Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2PM.
