Denzil "Pee Wee" Hestilow, 76, of Waco, passed away Sunday, May 22 at Regent Care Center. Services will be 10 am Wednesday, May 25 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Hestilow officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 24 at the funeral home. Pee Wee was born November 29, 1934 in Whitney, Texas to Melvin Denzil and Opal (Cooper) Hestilow. He served in the Army, retired from General Tire in 1986, was employed at Baylor University over 12 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Glenda Sue Shaw and his wife Mary Kathryn "Kitty" Hestilow. Survivors include his sons, Jay Hestilow of Lorena, Barry Hestilow of Bellmead and Joe Hestilow and wife Cinda of Lorena; sister Nelda Crest of Houston; brother Joe Ed Hestilow of Bellmead; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbeares will be Joe Ed Hestilow, Ed Hill, Douglas Shafer, Bob Shaw, Leonard Christensen and George "Scrapper" Paulk. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Frye, Gene Mandel, Rick Rasberry, Benny Doss, James Kuehl, Joe Samford and Sanger D. Shafer. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Regent Care Center and Southern Care Hospice for their loving care and support.
