Dorothy (Grammy)Goetting, 92, of Bruceville went to her heavenly reward, to Jesus, on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3 at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor A.W. Schroeder officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 2 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Dorothy was born March 3, 1916 in Milan, Kansas to Charles Wesley and Grace Mae (Hembrow) Gardner. She was married and widowed to Melvin August Goetting. She was a farm girl all of her life and enjoyed the outdoors. Dorothy worked at the Lorena Schools and was loved by everyone, She was a blessing to everyone who knew her and there is a new diamond in the sky, because of her beautiful spirit and love she shown to the earth while she lived. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother at birth. She leaves behind a daughter, Margo and husband T.R. Gilmore of Bruceville, sisters, Leota Halsey of Oregon, Iris Farrar of Washington, and a very special great-grandson, Steven Eric Morris, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
