Edith Louise Teat, 77, of West, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015. Services will be 11 am Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Immicke officiating. Burial will be at White Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Monday, Jan. 12 at the funeral home. Mrs. Teat was born March 12, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee to John and Ethel (Hannah) Chapman. She worked in the Custodial Department at TSTC until retiring after 18 years of service. Mrs. Teat was wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Teat in 1993; her sons, Billy Joe Hallmark, Robert Shiner and Jimmy and Johnny Hallmark; and her brothers, George Chapman and Buddy Stacks. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lou Samford of Waco; son, Bobby Teat and his wife, Courtney of West; her sister, Virginia Isham of Arkansas; her brother, Roger Dale Stacks of Arkansas; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be, Terry Joe Samford, Jacob Teat, Sean Prisco, Stephen Mauk, Floyd Morgan and Dwayne Gilbert. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Teat and Roger Dale Stacks. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. John Kosarek and all the staff at Hillcrest for their care and support. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
