Edith Lee Meinzer Navara, 96, of Bellmead moved from this life, to life eternal with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, March 4, 2010. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 8 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Jimmy Samson officiating. No visitation is scheduled
Mrs. Navara was born September 4, 1913 in Elm Mott. TX. to Emil William and Minnie Ann Smith Meinzer. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of Sparks Memorial United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, August 3, 1923, in which secured her life eternal. She married Willie "Bill" Navara November 2, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1968. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Alfred and Emil W. Meinzer and two sisters, Agnes Meinzer and Marie Bryant. Mrs. Navara is survived by her daughter, Dianne Bates and husband Leroy of Elm Mott; grandson, Philip Bates and wife Kasee of Austin; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Glynder Loud, her caregiver for her loving kindness. Also thanks to Healthwise Home Health Care, Providence Hospice and the 3rd. floor caregivers at St. Catherine. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Sparks Memorial United Methodist Church, 900 Maxfield, Bellmead, TX. 76705. Pallbearers will be Leroy Bate, Philip Bates, Al Meinzer, Vincent Meinzer, George Payne and Mike Cochrum.
