Elenora Edith Raabe

Elenora Edith Raabe, born to Charlie and Sophie (Dudik) Fillip on Aprill 11th, 1927 in Ganado, TX, left us to be with the Lord on Friday March 7, 2025. She was the fifth eldest and last surviving sibling of 7 brothers and sisters.

Elenora grew up in West, TX. From her childhood to early adult years, she and her family were farmers. She shared stories of her and siblings, working in the field, harvesting cotton, fruit, vegetables and raising livestock. On November 10, 1947, she married Ervin Paul Raabe. Together they moved to Waco and started a family. She was a talented seamstress and worked for 40 years at J. M. Woods and finally retiring in 1988 from Waco Apparel. In addition to being her career, sewing was a hobby of hers. She also loved planting and working in her garden, which she did well into her 80s. She loved playing cards, dominoes and other games with her family. She would spend a lot of her free time putting together jigsaw puzzles, doing crossword and wordfind puzzles as well as playing Bingo.

She loved spending time with her family, preparing meals, baking and playing games. She enjoyed her TV shows and had an affinity for shows like Survivor and Fear Factor.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Charlie and Sophie Fillip, siblings Helen Ives, Henry Fillip, Christine Scheler Lander, Julie Gordon, Alfonce Fillip, Elizabeth Kolar, her Husband, Ervin Raabe and granddaughter Michelle Raabe.

She is survived by her Son, Jerry Raabe Sr. and wife Sharon, Daughter, Carolyn Little and husband Buster, Grandkids, Lee Raabe Jr. and wife Jenny, Susan Blake and husband Jason, Marcus Little and wife Nicole, Scott Little and wife Abby. Great-Grandkids, Hailey and Caleb Blake, Reagan and Jillian Raabe, Kaitlyn and Colin Little, Hutson and Zophie Little, Maylyn Taylor, Jakob and Tynleigh Elliott and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Bellmead Funeral Home Monday, March 10, 2025,from 6 pm-8 pm with the Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Funeral will be held at Bellmead Funeral Home Tuesday,March 11, 2025 at 2 pm followed by interment at Oakwood Cemetery.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wesley Woods, Community Care of Texas Hospice and the nursing staff at Ascension Providence for taking such good care of Elenora in her last days.
