Elizabeth Ann Hodges, "Liz", went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 9, 2021 in Waco, Texas, surrounded by her family.

Liz was born on August 16, 1941 in Groesbeck, Texas to her parents John Earl and Eva Yates. She was raised in Mount Calm, Texas where she attended school. In High School she was a majorette and graduated as valedictorian of her class.

She worked a variety of jobs, including, selling life insurance for American Amicable. Then in the late 80's she moved onto Cellular One, now known as AT&T. Here she was a part of the charter sales team that started Cellular One in Waco, Texas. She was their representative to various organizations. Liz was the top seller most months that she worked, she could always have a business card out of her pocket and into your hand quicker than she could say "Hello, my name is Elizabeth Hodges." She was extremely active in customer care and was awarded numerous sales recognition awards. She then went to work for Harvey-Daco as their senior account manager up until a few months ago. She was very loved and respected by her colleagues and customers. Liz valued each customer that she worked with. She always said "Don't ever mess with my customers or my kids."

In her spare time, she loved to shop, bake, make her famous hot sauce, can her own pickles, fish with her fianc� Boyd, rodeo in her younger days and more than anything she loved to be anywhere with her son Bret and her grandchildren.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother Eugene Yates.

She is survived by her fianc� Boyd Yarbrough of Robinson: Son Bret Hodges of Valley Mills: Grandson Gage Hodges of Valley Mills: Granddaughters Paige and Saige Hodges both of Valley Mills, Nikki Pennington and her husband Pete Pennington of Granbury: Two Great-Granddaughters Reagan and Dylynn both of Granbury. Liz is also survived by many life-long friends who she loved dearly.
