Elizabeth, sometimes referred to as Liesl or Lisa was born on March 30, 1940 in Vilshofen, Germany, to Michael and Kreszenz (Endl) Weber. She was the oldest of three sisters, Irma being the middle sister and Mary the youngest. After the passing of their father, Elizabeth's mother and all three girls left Germany and traveled by plane to the United States, where they started a new life for themselves. On March 31, 1958, Elizabeth, then 18 years old, married Manfred Dehe and together they raised 4 children, both in Chicago, Illinois and Phoenix, Arizona. Elizabeth loved being a wife, mother and homemaker. At times when it became necessary she took on jobs outside of the home but what she enjoyed most and took pride in more than anything was her family. She was an amazing cook, a great housekeeper as well as the family bookkeeper, and in her spare time she would sew, crochet, knit, dabble in oil painting and work in her garden but her greatest passion was reading. Elizabeth had a smile and personality that would light up a room, and anyone she met felt welcomed and loved. She was kind, generous and always giving and doing for others. Towards the end of her life, she lost the ability to speak and walk but her gift of love was still passed on thru her smile, her kind eyes, her gentle handhold and the kisses she would blow with a slight wave of her hand. She was a bright shining light and an extraordinary women in an ordinary `world and everyone that crossed her path was a better person for knowing her. She will be missed by all that knew her and loved her. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Manfred Dehe as well as her parents Michael and Kreszenz Weber. Survivors include her children Karen (Dehe) Parks and her husband Jack of Axtell, Texas, Michael Dehe and his wife Cindy (Harrison) of Sacramento, California, Susan (Dehe) Sette of Glendale, Arizona and Mark Dehe and his wife Tina (Grossman) of Indio, California. She is also survived by two sisters, Irma (Weber) Wevang and her husband Lloyd of Chicago, Illinois and Mary (Weber) Beierle and her husband Jim of McHenry, Illinois. She will be lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as well as several cousins, nieces and a nephew. The family wishes to extend their appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of the Brazos of Waco nursing care facility and Baylor Scott & White (Hillcrest) hospital/I.C.U. for the loving, kind and comforting care given to Elizabeth, in the last few weeks, days and hours of her life.
