Eloise Wood Tickle, 86, of Bellmead, passed away Sunday, August 11 at a local nursing home. Services will be 10 am Thursday, August 15 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Camp officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm at Younger Cemetery in Purdon, Texas with Rev. Harrell Braddock officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, August 14 at the funeral home. Eloise was born September 3, 1926 in Purdon, Texas to Willie and Fannie (Farmer) Wood. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was an active member of Highland Baptist Church, a Sunday School Teacher and a Brownie Leader. Eloise enjoyed crocheting, crafting Christmas stockings, traveling and especially reading and studying her Bible. She was an avid Bridge and 42 player, who loved the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grams who will be missed dearly Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Morris Tickle in 1977; and her sisters, Edna Dempsey and Eva Wallace. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Conrad and husband, James of Robinson and Jan Laney and husband, Billy of Hewitt; her grandchildren, Jonathan Conrad, Jeffrey Conrad and wife, Lauren, Ryan Laney and wife, Keri and Ashley Laney; and great grandson, Grayson James Conrad. Pallbearers will be, Jonathan Conrad, Jeffrey Conrad, Ryan Laney, Bill Wallace, Tom Grisham and Steven Byers.
