Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6::00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the funeral home.
Florrie was born July 9, 1938, in Belton, Texas to Ivy and Helen (Woodruff) Brooks and married James W. Hammons on November 29, 1956. She worked and retired from Texas State Technical College. She was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and the Cotton Palace Sam's RV Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, her son, John Hammons; and sister Barbara Juskalian.
Survivors include her daughter, Debby Grones and husband, Gary; her son, David Hammons and his wife, Cindy; her grandchildren, Joel Hammons and his wife, Rachael, Valerie Seidel and her husband, Shane, Justin Hammons, Kassie Rodriguez and her husband, Daniel, Brenda Waller and Tim Quiroz and his wife, Celeste; great-grandchildren, Landon Hammons, Laiden and Lannon Rodriguez, Quinn Seidel, Tatum Waller and Saige and Talon Quiroz.
Memorials may be made to Lakeview United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Gary Grones, Joel Hammons, Justin Hammons, Daniel Rodriguez, Shane Seidel and Tim Quiroz.
