Frances Dulak (Fannie), 92, of Axtell, passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elk on January 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow in St. Martin's Cemetery at Tours. Rosary will be recited on Monday, January 4th. at 6 p.m. followed by visitation until 8 p.m. at the Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Frances was born April 1, 1917 to Frank J and Mary ( Marek) Mach at Axtell. She went to School at T.K. and Axtell High School. Frances married the love of her life, Frank Dulak on Aughust 17, 1937 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk. They lived in the Tokio community for 7 years and than moved to Axtell in 1944. Our Mother was a very active partner in all aspects of their farm operation and continued on even after the death of her husband in 1979. Frances was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church all of her life where she belonged to St. Ann's Altar Society. She also loved her fishing, needle work, cooking and had a real "green thumb" in gardening and growing flowers. She loved her fishing so much that she would drive her electric scooter to the tank to fish and also work in the yard sometimes getting stuck; then having to push her Life Line button to get rescued. She and one of her best friends, Mary Pedigo, volunteer many hours preparing for Meals on Wheels in Bellmead and also volunteering at the HOT Fair in the art and crafts dept. helping them set up booths. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 5 sisters, Sophia Thun, Mary Bartosh, Annie Riley, Bertha Rauschhuber and Elizabeth Kubitza; and 4 brother, Joe,John, Frank and Jim Mach. She is survived by three sons, Jerry Dulak and wife Janet of San Antonio, Eugene Dulak of Axtell and Frank Dulak and wife Marie of Bryan, three daughter, Frances Baker and husband, Calvin of Axtell, Evelyn Clawson and husband Dorian of Mart and Helen Grandee and husband Jackie of Port Lavaca, two sisters, Lillie Mach Steele and husband, George of Dallas and Millie Mach Dulak of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren, Calvin Jr., Bobby, Michael, Marianne, Jerry Lynn, Angela, Chris, Melissa, Laura, James, Brandi, Juli, Crissy and Ashley; 17 great-grandchildren, Clint, Nick, Calvin III, Andrea, Kacee, John Michael, Brandon, Tori, Joseph, Troy, Daryl, Jaylon, Elsia, Kaylee, Jacob, Clint and Shelby; Fou great-great-grandchildren, Gavin, Braydon, Bella and Michael William and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are grandsons; Calvin D. Baker Jr., Bobby Baker, Michael Matus, Jerry L. Dulak, Christopher Dulak and James Dulak. Honorary pallbearers are all of the great-grandchildren.We want to thank Dr. Jesse Rodriquez (Providence ER), Father/Chaplain, Cyril Ejaldu, and Dr. Timothy Schiller of Hillcrest Clinic and everyone at Lake Shore Village for being so kind in helping take of our Mother.
