Frances Fleming, 80, of Elm Mott, Texas passed away on Tuesday morning at home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be Monday, January 16,2023 at 10:30am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rev. Brian Hesse will be officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Visitations will be Sunday, January 15,2023 from 5-7pm at Bellmead Funeral Home in Bellmead, Texas.
Frances, "Sissy" as her family called her, was born Aug.18,1942 in Dallas, Texas to Alvin B. Posey and Frances A. Stowe-Posey, before her family settled in the Elm Mott/Waco area. Frances was the middle child of six children and attended Connally ISD. In 1958 she met the love of her life, Stanley A. Fleming, Sr. and married the day after her graduation on May 28,1960 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead where they were members for over 50 years. 10 years after they were blessed with a son, Stanley Jr., and 2 years later was blessed with a daughter, Rhonda. Frances was employed and retired from Cargil after many years. She enjoyed bowling with her two sisters, Ann and Sue, and lifelong friends on Monday nights for of over 25 years, on the "Byrd House" team but her true passion was spending time with her grandkids.
Frances was preceded in death by husband of 48 years, Stanley A. Fleming, Sr.; both parents; brothers Alvin Posey, Jr. and Norman Posey, sisters Delores "Ann" Harris and Beverly "Nell" Anderson , brothers-in-law Elba "Ruben" Harris, Billy Anderson and Tom Umberger, and nephews and nieces.
Frances is survived by her son, Stanley A. Fleming, Jr. , daughter, Rhonda D. Sedillo and husband Mark, three grandkids, Jonathan "Jon-Jon" Reyes , Eric Sedillo, Bryson Sedillo, four great-grandkids, Blayne, Tucker, Heartlynn and Maverick , sister Sue Umberger, many nieces, nephews and close extended friends.
Pallbearers are Jeff Anderson, Scott Anderson, Russell Umberger, Jason Umberger, Jeremy Mullins and Dennis Harris
Honorary Pallbearers are her grandsons and great grandsons, Jon-Jon , Eric , Bryson, Blayne ,Tucker and Maverick.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Providence Hospice and At Home Healthcare. Stan and I would like to say a special thank you to our Aunt Sue for all that she did for our mom and us through this journey.
