Fred A. Krizan, 89, of Bellmead, passed away Saturday, July 10 at a local nursing home. Military graveside services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 13 at Waco Memorial Park with Jimmy Lane officiating. Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 12 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Fred was born May 22, 1921 in Wichita Falls, to Frank and Annie (Hromadka) Krizan. He served in the Army, 3rd Infantry Division during WWII in Germany and was a P. O. W. He was wounded 3 times, receiving the Purple Heart and Silver Star Medals. Fred was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 4819 and St. Mark Lutheran Church. His parents and wife Irene (Hromadka) Krizan preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughters, Doris Ann Lane and husband Jimmy of Bruceville and Betty Jean Walters and husband Darrel of Chalk Bluff; sister Nora Britton of Brennam; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
