George" Bo " Van Turner, 65, of Axtell passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 at his residence; Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 24 at Olive Branch Baptist Church with Dr. Rex Bland officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 23 at Bellmead Funeral Home.(Bo was born January 2, 1944 in Waco to George Henry and Lula Faye (Gilliam) Turner. He married Sharon Gartman on December 2, 1995 in Thorndale, TX. He served in the military during Viet Nam, Texas Commissioned Peace Officer for 30 years serving in Robertson Co., Bremond Chief of Police in Thorndale for 12 years and Deputy Constable Pct 3, McLennan Co., later he was substitute teacher at Mart and Axtell schools. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Turner of Axtell; daughters, Kelley Spell of Ft. Worth and Shelley and husband Christopher Hall, Sr. of Axtell; sister, Deloice Trice of Axtell, Nancy Teears of Katy and Diane Baugh of Axtell; grandchildren, Chris Hall, Jr., Rachael Hall and Laura Grace Hall. Pallbearers will be Christopher Hall Jr., Wade Brand, Andrew Brand. Thomas Harris, Jeff Richardson and Raymond Gartman, Jr.
