Georgia Frances (Popp) Wachsmann

August 21, 1931 – March 25, 2025

Georgia Wachsmann passed away Tuesday March 25, 2025 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be 10:30 am Tuesday April 1, 2025 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West, Texas. Mrs Wachsmann will have viewing from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday March 31, 2025 at Bellmaed funeral home.  Georgia was born August 21, 1931 in West, Texas to Frank Popp and Rosie Chudej Popp. She married Andrew Leo Wachsmann on June 9, 1948. Georgia worked for several years for La Vega ISD as a cafeteria worker. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellmead, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew Wachsmann on January 27, 1995; her parents Frank and Rosie Popp and also her sisters Josephine Wachsmann of Arlington on March 9, 1993, and Rosie Marie Uptmor of Elm Mott on October 26, 2008. Georgia is survived by daughters,  Patricia Ann Wachsmann of Waco, and Joyce Marie (Wachsmann) Pilgrim and her husband James of Elm Mott; brothers-in-law George Wachsmann, Bill Wachsmann and his wife Clara Nell of West and Aubrey Uptmor of Elm Mott, and also several nieces and nephews.
