Gloria L. Adams, 90, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, February 11 at her residence. Services will be 2 pm Friday, February 14 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Father Timothy Vaverek officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Gloria was born April 7, 1923 in Beaumont, Texas to Jarvis L. and Winnie (Florey) Gossett and graduated in 1941 from St. Anthony School in Beaumont. She was President of the Mothers Club at Assumption Catholic School for 2 years and belonged to the choir at Assumption Catholic Church for many years. Gloria was a bookkeeper at Teachers Credit Union in Beaumont for several years and enjoyed traveling with Bob in their RV all over the country. They volunteered at state parks in North Carolina and South Dakota. Gloria was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and Timberliners Ladies Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert "Bob" Adams; and her son, Richard Adams. Survivors include her daughters, B. J. Brandt and Susan Adams Peters of Waco; son, Gary Adams and wife, Madeline of Waco; sisters, Willie Mae "Bim" DeFee and Dolores "Dee" Whitney both of Hemphill; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
