Guadalupe Vielma, 78, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, at a local hospital surrounded by some of her immediate family and grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 2 pm Saturday, July 12, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4911 N. IH 35, Waco, TX 76705. Guadalupe "Lupe" was the daughter of the late Monico Acuna Segura and Margarita Carmona Padron. She immigrated to Waco in 1966 to join her late husband of 51 years, Apolonio Vielma Sr. "Polo Sr." and she brought along their 5 children to be reunited and establish a better life. They eventually had a total of 9 children. Guadalupe along with her husband began to settle their family down in Bellmead, where all of their children were raised. She was a hard working woman, even having to walk to work on many occasions to one of her first jobs in Waco at Frank Smith and Sons. She eventually worked for a while at La Vega ISD and eventually retired from Midway ISD. Her passion and joy was working in her garden with her flowers and plants. She realized that there had to be more to life and to Gods creation and therefore started to study the bible and got baptized in 1972 as a Jehovah's Witness. She was a loyal member of her congregation until her death. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Juan Vielma, Lupe V. Hernandea, Martin Vielma, Sandra L. Cowell, Angelica M. Estrada, Jesse Vielma, Rosa M. Ard, Apolonio Vielma Jr. and Sylvia C. Vielma; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Maria De La Luz Espinoza, Maria Luisa Acuna Carmona and Juana Acuna Carmonia. She was greatly loved by her family and many friends, and will be missed dearly by all. The family has found comfort in God's promises in Revelation 21:3, 4 and John 5:28-29.
