Hazel Everett, 64, of Bellmead passed away quietly on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at a local hospital.Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 19, at the funeral home. Hazel was born February 5, 1944 in Waco to Alvin and Willie M. (Andrew) Childs. Hazel was a gifted seamstress and loved crafting. New ideas were usually crafted and given as a birthday or Christmas gift to her girls. Most important to her was her family, her mom, husband and daughters. Hazel liked shopping (mostly looking) with her mother when they were both able to get out. But usually they looked at each other at the end of the day and the phrase "can't take me anywhere" would have been said a few times. Mom would often set up all her craft stuff for all of her girls and grandkids. She loved her pets, Lucky and Kitty-Kitty were a comical pair. She was always busy with her hands even when sitting. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Erma Louise Pardue(Child) and Anita Alene Kousal (Childs), 1 brother, Richard Glenn Childs. Survivors include her Mother, Willie M. Childs, husband of 29 years, Paul William Everett, daughters, Melissa Rene Moore and husband David, Stacey Lynn Mattiza, Shelly Denise McCurley and husband Mike, Kelly Diane Wierman and husband Ron, Stepson, Randy P. Everett, Sister, Alvena Huffman, Brothers, Lester Childs and wife, Pat Chester Childs, 8 grandchildren, Travis Wayne Murphy Jr., Brian Thomas Moore, Michael Wayne McCurley Jr., Ashlie Cheree Jackson, Jesse James Mc Curley, Megan Louise Moore, Katelyn Beth Moore, Cassidy Rene Moore 1 great grandchild, Trey Lee Murphy Many, many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be, David G. Moore, Ron E. Wierman, Michael W. Mc. Curley Sr., Michael W. McCurley Jr., Jesse McCurley and Jerry R. Mattiza.
