Helen Darlyne Reading, 74 of Waco, went to be with her Lord on September 19, 2014 while surrounded by friends and family in Waco. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Cox officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 21 at the funeral home. Helen was born August 3, 1940 to Elbert Bob and Marjorie (Holster) Crow in Brownwood. She was a graduate of Waco High. She enjoyed working at Plantation Food and Providence Hospital before retiring from TSTC Waco. Helen was a committed Christian and loved working with young people. She was a community volunteer as a baton twirling coach in Burkburnett, TX early in her adult life. She loved serving her church and church family in many ways, including as pianist. She was a vital part of GodZone Ministry, Inc. where she served as a spiritual leader and Chairman of the board from when it was founded. Helen joined the Red Hat Society where she served several positions for her chapter. As a member of the Red Hat Society, she founded a ministry called The Hats where she lead a group of retired women in chair dancing routines for nursing home residents. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie and Elbert Crow; her daughter, Stephanie Suri; and grandson, Ty Gurganus. Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Armstrong-Baugh and husband, David of Waco; son, Scot Suri of Ft. Collins, Colorado; grandchildren, Miles, Jacob, Mindy and husband Bill and Rayne; great granddaughters, Franki and Finley; brother, John Crow and wife, Chelleye of Lewisville; and nephews, Marc and Brandon. Pallbearers will be Jakob Suri, Brandon Crow, James Miller, Matthew Schonersteadt and Jacob Miller.
