Henry was born April 3, 1938, in Waco, Texas to John Luther and Jewell Lee (James) Jackson. He will be missed. He had one brother Kenneth, and one sister Gloria.
Henry grew up in the Elm Mott and Waco area. He attended school at Elm Mott/Connally where he played and starred in basketball. He volunteered for service in the United States Army May 9, 1956, and was Honorably Discharged May 8, 1959.
He went to work with his brother and dad once he returned to Waco from service in the military, afterwards, He moved with his family to the Dallas area where he worked as a trucker and at manufacturing jobs in Dallas. He always wanted the family to make their way back to the Waco area, so he purchased a small farm by the Mart and Tradinghouse Lakes. He owned and operated the ''Jackson Hog Farm'' Registered Yorkshire Hogs. He also attended Texas State Technical Institute, where he achieved several certifications in Air conditioning Refrigeration, Ranch Management, and Auto Parts management. He had an aptitude for building things, as in building some of the houses he and his family lived in. He later worked for the City of Waco Water Department.
He was a member of Hallsburg Baptist Church. Some of his favorite bible verses are John 3:16 and Psalms 23.
During his life he always enjoyed hanging out with his family, kids, grandkids, and picking on and teasing them. He attended the kids dance recitals and all sorts of sporting events.
He liked walking the mall and riding around in the scooter at the Target store. He liked all sports, but his favorite was football. He was a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan! He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia especially anything Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, eating goodies, and drinking ''sodie'' waters. He never shied away from an argument and was known to gripe about things from time to time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and Tonie Jackson.
Survivors include Martha Jackson.
Sons and daughter: son Kenneth and wife Irene, son Darrell and wife Melissa, daughter Carla Schutty and husband Rob.
Grandchildren: Amanda Bozeman, Adam Jackson, Jaycie Jackson, Natalie Jackson, Emilie Jackson, Talia McElvain, Sivonna Schutty, and McKenna Schutty.
6 great-grandchildren.
6 great-great grandchildren.
Many nieces and nephews.
