James R. "Big Jim" Williams, 65, of Bellmead, passed away, Tuesday, May 1, at his residence. Services will be 11 am Friday, May 4 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Larry Holden officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday, May 3 at the funeral home. Big Jim was born November 24, 1946 in Waco, to Andrew Karl and Mary Ann (Yakima) Williams. He served in the Navy and retired from M & M Mars. He was employed at Caterpillar of Waco, owned Jim's Small Engine Repair and loved fishing with his son-in-law, hunting and camping with his family and friends, most of all being with his grandkids specially being there number 1 fan at there games. Big Jim was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Karlene; and 2 brothers, Truman and Karl Jr. and best friend Don Maynard. Survivors include his daughter, Jamie Anderson and husband, Scott of Waco; son, Ron Williams and fianc�e, Kimberly Howell of Waco; the mother of his children, Paula Williams of Waco; brother, Charles "Chuck" Williams Sr., of Wimberley; 7 grandchildren, Colton, Chandler and Caden Anderson, Darian, Greyson, Austin and Bentley Williams; a special nephew, Andy Williams and several other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be, James Barak, J.T. Smith, Dwain Wills, Gary Hinson, J.R. Barak and Gary Sager. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Wills and Ricky Ray.
