James E. Grady, 86, of Elm Mott, passed away Thursday, July 15 at Lake Whitney Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 19 at White Rock Cemetery in Ross with Dr. Don Hancock officiating. Mr. Grady was born July 12, 1924 in Burkburnett, Texas to Homer and Arinda (McArthur) Grady and attended Texas Christian University. He installed dairy equipment for several years all over Central Texas before going to the Texas Highway Department where he worked over 30 years until retiring in 1987. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Gibson) Grady in 1986, a sister Ada Grady, brothers R. W. "Bob" and Paul Grady and a granddaughter, Mary Ann Smith. Survivors include his daughters Kathleen Smith and Barbara Briscoe both of Elm Mott; son James C. Grady of Chilton; sisters Helen Grizzle, Ann Grady and Nell Grady all of Burkburnett; grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
