James F. "Jim" Holley, 68, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15 at a local hospital. Services will be 11 am Monday, February 20 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Sunday, February 19 at the funeral home. Jim was born April 2, 1943, in Waco to William Howard and Lilah Dene (Kemp) Holley. He was a retired self employed carpet layer and was a truck driver for many years, until retiring from Flamco Trucking. He married Linda Nell in November 2001. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Ann Shilling and Nancy Treadway; and brother, Billy Holley. Survivors include his wife, Linda Nell Holley of Waco; daughters, Melissa Moore and husband David of Midlothian, Stacey Holley and Fred Holland of Waco, Shelly McCurley and husband Michael of Waxahachie, Kelly Wierman and husband Ron of Grand Prairie and Kerstin VanderLaan of Waco; son, James Allen of Waco; sister, Reba Walts of Waco; brother, Gene Holley of Waco; special friend, Gene Byrd of Waco; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be, Terry Dieterich, Gary Joe Huytra, Wendell Clark, Scotter Zucha, Jeff Wood and Mickey Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be, Gene Byrd, Dean Hand, Joe Kyle, Boonie Liles and Steve Snow.
