Jimmie Dale Nitschke, 61, of Bellmead, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 pm Friday, January 2, 2015 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Jimmie was born January 3, 1953 in Waco, to RH and Bonnie (Price) Nitschke. He graduated from La Vega High School in 1971 and married his high school sweetheart and life partner, Kathryn Demas in November 1971. Jimmie was employed at Texas Aero, S&H Automotive and retired after 37 years from Huck/Alcoa where he found life-long friends, Randy Sulak, Dennis Ayers and many many more. Jimmie was known for his playful personality, practical jokes and his ability to make others laugh and smile. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing his guitar, singing and Friday night stock car races. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Kholton Blake Pickens. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Nitschke; daughters, Shelby Huffman and husband, Sean and Kasey "Rooster" Sargent and husband, Shawn; grandchildren, Peyton and Bailei McFee, Tylar and Tristyn Sargent and Michael Drummond; brothers, Doug and Randy Nitschke; and many extended family members. Jimmie was greatly loved, will be missed terribly and his legend as "The Great One' will live on forever.
