Jimmy (Jim) PaPa Shaw, 80, of Waco went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 2, 2015. Services will be 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edwin Cook officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park. The family will also receive visitors from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, July 6, 2015 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Jimmy was born in Valley Mills, Texas on September 13, 1934 to Jesse and Lucille (Saulter) Shaw. He served his country in the USAF from 1952-1960. He was stationed at Travis AFB, San Francisco, when he met a beautiful nurse in training, Virginia Marie Pearce. They fell in love and were soon married on May 23, 1957. They made their home in Waco, and were happily married for 49 years. They had two children, Janet Marie (Shaw) Sulzbach and James Edwinn Shaw. Jimmy is a member of the Seventh Day Adventist in Waco. He loved his Texas Rangers Baseball and NASCAR racing. Jimmy worked at Transit Mix Concrete for many years, and later retired from Transit Mix. In 1994 he was honored as the Best Concrete Truck Driver in Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Shaw, his parents, and brother Gerald Shaw. Survivors include his daughter Janet Sulzbach and husband Gary of Leander and son James Shaw and wife Carol of Waco; sisters Bernice Horton of Waco and Shirley Bynum and husband Larry of Hewitt; and brother Sammy Shaw and wife Rusti of Speegleville. Grandchildren include Brandon Shaw of Waco; Brandi Shaw of Idyllwild, California; Brittany Wright and husband Stephen of San Diego, California; Trayce Champagne and husband Michael of Austin; Andrew Klein of Cedar Park; and Jami Shaw and James Shaw of Waco. Jimmy had many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he loved very much. Pallbearers will be Andrew Klein, Brandon Shaw, Troy Shaw, Bruce Eden, Matt Eden, Jesse Horton, Michael Champagne, and Larry Bynum.
