It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of JoAnn Marie Alexander, age 82, who peacefully left this world on August 25th 2024. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grand mother and friend. JoAnn was a beacon of love, joy and kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Born on June 21, 1942, JoAnn (Busha,as her grandkids would call her) was a loving mother of five boys, whom she raised with unwavering care and dedication. Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured her heart into raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world and her love for them was evident in everything she did. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter and the scent of blooming flowers from her beloved garden.
JoAnn was known for her boundless energy and hardworking spirit. She was a long-time member of the Catholic Daughters at St Joseph’s Catholic Church. She worked at Bonnie’s Greenhouse for over 30 years. Tending to flowers and plants was a reflection of her soul- vibrant, colorful and full of life. Every bloom was a testament to her green thumb and the care she put into everything she did. Alongside her green thumb, JoAnn had a deep love for playing bingo, where her playful spirit and keen eye for numbers made her a beloved regular. She also enjoyed playing dominos and was always the first one to bring the dominos out during every family gathering. Another one of JoAnn’s hobbies was listening to polka music and she could often be found swaying back and forth to its lively rhythms.
JoAnn was known for her caring and loving nature. She had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a kind word. Her warmth and joyful soul touched the lives of everyone she met, and she had a special ability to make others feel loved and cherished.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and blooming flowers that will continue to grow in the heart of those who knew her. She is survived by her five children and their wives, Billy and Shanna, Bobby and Holly, Tommy and Jeanette, Danny and Jessica, and Jimmy and Crystal, as well as her 14 grandchildren, Andrew, Bradley, Katie, Christopher, Brandon, Bryan, Ryan, Audrey, Ally Jo, Sarah, Joseph, Rachel, Cannon and Kinlee, as well as 3 great grandchildren, Ada, James and Emma, who will miss her deeply but find comfort in the beautiful moments they shared together.
