Joe Ed Hestilow, 67, of Bellmead, passed away Wednesday, May 22 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Services will be 10 am Tuesday, May 28 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Hestilow officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Sunday, May 26 at the funeral home. Joe was born November 1, 1945 in Whitney, Texas to Melvin Denzil and Lois Opal (Cooper) Hestilow. He graduated from LaVega High School in 1964 and was an Air Force Vietnam Veteran. Joe earned a degree from TSTC in Aircraft Maintenance. He was devoted to his family and loved cooking for everyone. He worked for Time Manufacturing for 19 years and enjoyed meeting new people in his travels around the world. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glenda Sue Shaw; and brother, Denzil "Pee Wee" Hestilow. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mickey (Reyes) Hestilow of Bellmead; daughters, Annette Watkins and husband, Tracy of Madisonville, Kentucky, Mindy Jo Hestilow Flynt of Fort Worth and Heather Cornelius and husband, Hugh of Mt. Calm; sister, Nelda Gay Crest of Houston; grandchildren, Brandon, Brooke, Joey and Kaylin Watkins, Mackenzie and Kendall Flynt and Cheyenne and Blaine Cornelius; great granddaughter, Kylie Watkins; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jack Wiley, Dewayne Plaster, Joe Bradley Hestilow, Jay Hestilow, Barry Hestilow, Larry DeHerrera, Larry Pharris and Don Fradus. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Hickey, Joey Reinke, Bob Shaw and Dorian "Cowboy" Clawson.
