John
Moore, 91, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021.
Visitation
will start at 5 p.m., Wednesday, January 20 at Bellmead Funeral Home, followed
at 6 p.m. by the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m., Thursday,
Jan. 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. Burial will follow at Axtell
Cemetery. Social distancing and facial covering will be required.
John
was born February 2, 1929 in Axtell, Texas to Ed and Mamie Yowell Moore. He
owned several businesses over the years, including Moore's Lumber in Lacy
Lakeview and Moore's Properties. John was a charter member of the St. Joseph
Knights of Columbus.
John
and his wife of 67 years, Louise, enjoyed years of traveling with the Tejas
Travel Club and spent 5 summers at Ruby's Inn near Bryce Canyon, Utah.
He
loved his family deeply and enjoyed being outdoors, playing games, especially
horseshoes and washers.
He was
predeceased by his parents; wife Louise Walling Moore; brothers Trent and
George Moore; sisters Julia Collins and Anna Ruth White; and grandson Kelly
Moore.
Survivors
include his children, John Larry Moore and wife, Betty, Annie Moore Solis and
husband, Hiram, Patricia Moore Evans and husband Leon, and Bobbie Sue Moore
Lomax; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews;
sisters-in-law Alma and Dorothy Moore and brother-in-law Dan Walling.
Grandsons
will serve as pallbearers.

of flowers memorials may be made to Caritas or the charity of your choice.
