Junior Lee Morgan of Bellmead, TX passed away Sunday. April 3, 2022 at an assisted living facility. He was born October 27, 1929 in Rosie, Arkansas to Edgar and Iva Morgan. Military graveside services will be held at 2 pm Thursday. April 7 at Waco Memorial Cemetery with David Haines officiating. Visitation will be held at Bellmead Funeral Home from 4 to 6 on Weds, April 6.

He left Rosie and joined the service in 1949 and was stationed in Enid, OK where he was a medic. It was here where he met the woman he spent the next 65 years with, Florene Morgan, who preceded him in death in 2016.

Soon, duty called and Msgt. Morgan was transferred to Harlingen, TX, then Winslow, Arizona, and then back to Enid, OK, He spent time in both Germany and Iceland before being sent to Waco, TX. While at JCAFB, he was sent to the Dominican Republic to help with unrest due to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

In 1969, he retired from the air force and worked at General Dynamics until the plant closed. It was then he decided he would enroll at TSTI, where he earned a degree in auto mechanics and then followed that with a degree in agricultural mechanics. He was offered a job teaching at TSTI where he retired after 15 years.

Around 1990, he began going to second hand auction sales. He decided he could do that, so he practiced and practiced and was awarded his very own auctioneer license. That led to buying a place up by Whitney Dam and building his own auction site. There was a sale every Saturday night and he loved every minute of it.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florene Morgan.

He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Giles of Waco, Jackie Hull of Canyon Lake, and Ellen Hill of Tyler, four grandchildren, Meredith White, Rusty Wells, Rocky Hill (Sarah), and Morgan Hill {Cortney), eight great grandchildren, Matthew, Wyatt and Emily Williams, Cole, Violet, and Charlie Rose Hill, and Cooper and River Hill, two brothers, Roy Morgan (Juna) of Maple Springs, AR, Jimmie Morgan of Rosie, AR and sister Pauline Bowers also of Arkansas.
