La Vonne E. Bond, age 80, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017. A funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 21st at the funeral home.
La Vonne was born January 7, 1937 in Donnybrook, South Dakota to Waldon and Irene (Thompson) Smith, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her was a daughter, Connie Sue Bond. She worked many years as a Nurse Aide.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Henry Bond, Jr.; daughters and sons in law, Dollie Salinas, Kathi and Ed Fischer, Alice and John James and Lori Rae; son, Jerry Bond; sister, Vera Brown; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
