Lawrence Kirkpatrick passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Services will be 10:00 am Saturday December 14, 2024 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeff Stinson. Burial will be in Moody Cemetery, Moody, Texas. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Bellmead Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Ben Matus, Blake Birmingham, Brent Sykora, Jarrod Richard, Jeff Adcock, Tim Weddle, Wayne Stinson and William Shafer. Lawrence was born in Gholson, Tx. January 14, 1939 to Dee and Bertha Kirkpatrick. He was retired from McLennan Community College where he worked in the Bookstore for thirty-three years. He was a member of Church of the Redeemed in Waco. Lawrence and Nancy celebrated their 27th Wedding Anniversary this past June 28, 2024. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Loraine Patterson, Mary Boegli, and Vera Hux, brother J.D. (Bo) Kirkpatrick. Survivors are his wife, Nancy Kirkpatrick. His twin sister, Florence Bradburry and husband Curtis of West, and Nelda Bush of Valley Mills, Tx. Step sons, David Jirasek and his wife Becky ,Darrell Jirasek, Randy Jirasek, Grandsons; Jeremy Jirasek, Matt Jirasek, and Keith Stoker, 7 great-grandchildren: Campbell, Nolynne, Wesley, Emrys, Augie, Austin, and Alyssa and many nieces and nephews as well as many special friends. Lawrence was a minister of the Gospel for 60 years, and serving as Treasurer and secretary many years and was an avid sports player of most sports but especially Baseball for many years and All Star Short Stop. He served eight years in the Army National Guard Reserve, worked in Baylor Athletics as an usher for many years, working all games and Manager of Baylor Concessions for ten years, in which he enjoyed.
