Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday February 21, 2025 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park in Robinson, Texas.
Leslie was born on January 29, 1965 in Temple, Texas to William L. Hunter III and Carolyn Hunter Holt. She attended Jefferson Moore High School in 1983.
Leslie's love for animals, especially cats, was immeasurable. She dedicated much of her time to caring for and nurturing her furry companions, offering them the love and attention they deserved. Her home was always filled with the comforting presence of her cherished cats, who brought her much joy throughout her life.
An avid reader, Leslie had a deep appreciation for literature. Whether it was fiction, poetry, or non-fiction, she found solace and inspiration within the pages of her books. Her curiosity and eagerness to learn were a testament to her vibrant intellect and her passion for exploring new worlds.
In addition to her love for reading, Leslie found peace and creativity in coloring. She took great joy in expressing herself through this calming activity, creating beautiful, vibrant works of art that reflected her creative soul.
Leslie's heart extended beyond her immediate family and friends. She had an unwavering compassion for others and a special concern for the homeless. Leslie was always ready to lend a helping hand, offering comfort, food, and support to those in need. Her acts of kindness and selflessness made a lasting impact on many lives, as she believed deeply in the importance of taking care of others.
Above all, Leslie found great joy in worshipping the Lord. She was a member of the Hope is Alive Community Church. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she cherished the opportunity to praise and honor God. Leslie’s heart was full of love for her Savior, and her devotion was evident in every aspect of her life. She lived with grace, kindness, and an unwavering trust in God’s plan.
Leslie's presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a true example of love, compassion, and creativity, and her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Knutson; mother Carolyn Holt; daughters, Mandy and husband Larry Mora, Brandy and husband Billy McMillian Jr.; sisters Denise Spradlin and Michelle Hunter; grandkids, Mandy's kids- Colin Mora, Olivia Mora, and Lawrence Mora Jr.; Brandy's kids- Zaylan McMillian, Braylan McMillian and Draylan McMillian.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Brothers for Others Ministry, 1100 New Dallas Hwy, Waco, Tx 76705.
