Lillian Losak, 98, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at a local nursing facility.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in West, Texas. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Bellmead Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m.

Lillian was born April 16, 1919 in Malone, Texas to Frank and Julie Makovy. She was united in marriage to Frank Losak in 1941. For the next 74 years, she and Frank were devoted to each other, their family and friends.

Frank preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ed, Frank, Emerick, Bill and Joe Makovy; her sister, Sophie Young; and her son-in-law, Fred Shaw.

Throughout her life, Lillian was a very spiritual person reading scripture daily, she was a devout Catholic and faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was a wonderful homemaker to her children and grandchildren and was affectionally known to them as MeMaw. Among the things she enjoyed were cooking, especially baking, gardening, dancing, fishing and visiting with friends and family. Her specialties were Kolaches and homemade pickles which she shared generously with happy recipients. There was always room for "one more" at her table. She and Frank also enjoyed several trips to the Czech Republic.

She is survived by her 3 children, Mary Ann Shaw of Corpus Christi, Bill Losak and wife, Cindy of Lancaster and Freddy Losak and wife, Donna of Bellmead; 9 grandchildren, Fred Shaw, Scott Shaw and wife, Callie, Sarah Ridge and husband, Cliff, Brian Losak and wife, Diana, Lauren Losak, Rachel Losak, Dustin Losak and wife, Misty, Brent Losak and Kaitlyn Losak; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Straten and Lois Veselka; several nieces and nephews including devoted nephew, Johnnie Marek.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Fred and Scott Shaw, Dustin, Brian and Brent Losak and nephew Johnnie Marek.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Young, Billy Young and Gary Straten.
