Linda Davis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Monden Davis on September 23, 2024 in Hewitt, Texas at the age of 83. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 2:00 pm at The Bellmead Funeral Home.

Linda was born in Borger, Texas September 3, 1941. Linda was one of ten siblings that grew up in Stinnett, Texas. She lived her entire childhood in Stinnett until she graduated from Stinnett High School in 1960. After graduation Linda moved to Lubbock, Texas and this is where she met the love of her life, Robert Davis. She married Robert on July 26, 1963. Linda and Robert lived in Lubbock until 1969 and then moved to Waco, Texas. Linda worked at Amico, LaVega ISD and Waco ISD. She retired from Waco ISD in 1998. Robert and Linda were married 61 years.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Luchon Bryant and Bessie Faye Monden; father-in-law Thomas Jefferson Davis; mother-in-law Geneva Katherine Davis; siblings Gene Bryant Monden, Jeanette Margie Monden, Johnny Almon Monden, Helen LaNell McCormick, Robert Lyle Monden, Luchon Bryant Monden Jr. and Roger Dale Monden.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Robert Davis; daughter Marianne Chartrand and husband Carl of Hot Springs; son Vince Davis and wife Michelle of Hewitt; son Aaron Davis of Waco; grandson Cody Davis and girlfriend Lindsey Witt of Bruceville-Eddy; granddaughter Caitlyn Krumnow and husband Lee of Riesel; grandson Terry Davis of Galveston; great granddaughter Emery Krumnow; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors. During football season you would find her cheering for her favorite team Dallas Cowboys. Linda dedicated her life to her family leaving a lasting impact on each of them. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
