He spent 14 years of his childhood at the Methodist home where he completed high school at Waco High and then attended Baylor University for 2 years before meeting the Love of his life, Gloria Jean Brown. They were married On December 18 1959 in Waco Texas, where they worked, lived, loved, and had 3 children and enjoyed family and friends. Hardships would come again where the family would have a long and hard separation. During the early 70s Louis would become a Mason and a member of the Baylor Masonic Lodge # 1235 until his
passing. He later worked and traveled on work barges all around South Africa and later worked on offshore oil rigs in the gulf returning back to the Austin area to work at places like Motorola where he soon retired in the early 2000s. In 2009 after a 37 year span Louis returned to his home in Waco Texas, to reunite with family and friend where Louis and Gloria would find their way back to each other in February 2009 and were remarried on June 18 2009. He would spend the rest of his life with the family and children and friends that he and Gloria had started so very long ago, again living and loving and laughing.
