Louise Reeves, 87, of Bellmead, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at a local hospital. Services will be 11 am Thursday, October 9, at Greater Waco Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Gerald W. McKelroy and Rev. James Adams officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, October 8, at Bellmead Funeral Home. Louise was born January 6, 1927 in Waco, Texas to W. M. and Ida (Hartis) Lee. She attended school in Tokio, Texas and graduated from Aquilla High School. Louise worked at Winn's for over 20 years and was an assistant manager. She volunteered at the Family Abuse Center and was a longtime faithful member of Greater Waco Baptist Church formerly Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church. Louise loved to work in her yard, but her greatest pleasure came from watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ray Reeves. Survivors include her son, Michael Ray Reeves and wife, Wendy of Bremond; her sisters, Marie Freeman and husband Donald of Hewitt and Willie Jean McCain of Mesquite; her grandchildren, Matthew Reeves and wife, Stacie, Misty Hicks and husband, Will all of China Spring, Erin Toler of Waco and Cory Thompson of Hamilton; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be, Wendall Clark, David Hill, Gary Maas, Larry Wilson, Keith Woodall and Joe Terral. Honorary pallbearers will be, Butch Jones and the Men's Association of Greater Waco Baptist Church.
