On Thursday, January 28, 2021, Margaret Ann Jackson of Groesbeck, Tx, passed away at the age of 73.
July 22nd, 1947, Margaret (Booger) was born to Edwin and Dorothy Armstrong in Waco, TX. She married Don Jackson in August of 1963 where they had 3 children. She graduated, valedictorian, of her nursing class in 1980 where she pursued jobs in nursing homes throughout her career.
Margaret had a rare talent playing the piano and could play like no other. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed playing for her church, Victorious Life, as well as her residents in the nursing homes she worked in. She was a compassionate person whose main joy in life was caring for others. She could be best described as funny, loving, and a free spirit. Her favorite pass time was anything Elvis Presley, watching Golden Girls, and never missed a Baylor Bear or Texas Rangers game.
Margaret was proceeded in death by her parents Ed and Dorothy Armstrong, her brother Edwin Ray Armstrong, and devoted husband Don Jackson, who loved her endlessly. She is survived by her siblings Sharon and Ronnie Ellison, Linda and Randy Ayres, Eddie and Kathy Armstrong; Her children Gary Don Jackson, Vicki and Michael Metcalf, Jeffrey and Jennifer Jackson ; 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 1st from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. and funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 2nd, 10 a.m. at Bellmead Funeral Home. Graveside memorial will follow immediately after at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 South 12th St. Waco, TX 76706.
Pallbearers will be Margaret's grandsons and nephew. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.
