Martha Culverhouse Cagle

Martha Jane (Culverhouse) Cagle, beloved wife, mother, nonnie and friend, 85, of Elm Mott, Texas passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday October 4, 2024 at White Rock Cemetery.

Martha is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert Cagle; parents, Alyne and Ernest Culverhouse, Sr.; sisters, Ernestyne Young, Patsy Smith, and Carolyn Hill; sons, Duane Harwell and H. C. Harwell, Jr.

She is survived by her brothers, E. T. Culverhouse and wife Shirley, Gary Culverhouse and wife Beth; sister, Linda Boudreau; son, Cameron Harwell; grandchildren, Tristan Harwell and wife Kara, Desiree Harwell, Justin Harwell and wife Jennifer, Ashley Suter and husband Mike, Dale Harwell and wife Gabby. great grandchildren, Maci and Phoenix Harwell, Alyssa Harwell , Kaelyn, Easton, Colton, Abrianna and Deryn Ford, Heyli Suter, Gus, Raylyn and Heath Harwell.

Martha Jane (Culverhouse) Cagle was born January 21, 1939 in Waco, Texas to Alyne Ernest Culverhouse, Sr. She graduated from West High School in 1957. After graduation, she worked in finance at several banks. In 1990 she went to work for the McLennan CountyWCID #2 as office manager until retiring in July of 2011.

She loved dancing with her husband Robert by her side. She loved gardening and beautiful flowers. She loved listening to her favorite country & western bands, playing 42 and various other card games with her siblings at family get togethers. She was a caring, gentle soul that always put her family before herself. She lived a life full of love and happiness. She will be truly missed and loved by many.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to White Rock Cemetery or the Elm Mott VFD.
